As a member of The Guiding Light Church, you have a family that will rejoice when you rejoice and mourn when you mourn. There are several benefits set up just for you to help you through difficult times and to share milestone moments in your life. Here are a few of the services available to you as a member of "The Light"!
Baby Dedications & Baptism
Dedication services are performed once per quarter.All candidates must complete an application and return to the Office of Pastoral Care, or complete applications online:

Biblical Counseling
Our trained ministers are paraprofessionals not licensed or paid professional counselors.They are given oversight to get to the root of the problem and provide clear Biblical and practical solutions and guidance to members in need.
EMS
Food, clothing, and other emergency assistance is available to qualifying members.
Family Reunions
GLC members who wish to include a Sunday morning service as a part of their family reunion program may do so by first contacting the Pastoral Care office. We will recognize the family and arrange for special seating during the service.
Funerals are performed by Bishop Lowe for all members or immediate family members as his schedule permits.Assigned Ministers may perform non-family members' services.All funeral services are handled through the Pastoral Care office.
Health and Wellness Our fitness center is open to all who want to walk in divine health, be stress free, and lose unwanted pounds.
Home Blessings are available for members owning a new home.Assigned Ministers are available for this service after contact is made through the Pastoral Care office.
Inbound Ministry takes the worship of our Lord and fellowship of the believers to those who are unable to attend Worship Services.Contact Minister Bertha James for more information at 956.9272, or 908.9272.
Intercessory Prayer is open to all who desire to pray every Wednesday at 5:45pm.
M.E.D.I.C. Ministry (Miraculous Evidence of Deliverance in Christ) ministers health and healing through educational classes that meet from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. each Sunday morning in the Board Room, DP12 Special Interest FOLD that meets twice monthly, and individual counseling and prayer.The scriptural basis for this ministry is found in Proverbs 4:20-23.Contact Minister Charlena Bray for more information at 380.4786.
M.E.D.I.C.S. 2 (Miraculous Evidence of Deliverance in Christ Serving others) provides practical steps for healthy living through health and wellness seminars and blood pressure and glucose screenings. It also offers medical attention to those in need during Wednesday and Sunday services.
Service Receptionist
This ministry is for those who wish to provide a "smiling" voice to answer the telephone during Wednesday and Sunday services and some special events.
S.W.A.T.(Spiritual Warfare And Tactics)
This ministry helps participants to identify and address life controlling issues, destructive habits, and difficult circumstances through didactic materials, lectures, groups, and biblical principles.
Weddings are performed by Bishop Lowe for all members as his schedule permits. All couples must attend the regularly scheduled counseling session prior to the ceremony.
