Robbie Gilbert

Son of Sybil Gilbert Scarbrough

As the school year came to a close, hundreds of 8th graders turned in their books, cleaned their lockers and headed home. But that wasn't the case for Robbie Gilbert, a child of God, whose determination to excel was exemplified both on the court and off. Robbie Gilbert, oldest child of Sybil Gilbert Scarbrough, known for his athletic abilities, finished this year's basketball season with over 300 points. However, basketball was just one area in which he strived for excellence.

Robbie's resolve to exceed academically afforded him the opportunity to take AP Honors courses. While taking full advantage of the opportunity, he completed his school term top of his class. On May 18^th, Robbie Gilbert was inducted into the Irondale Middle School National Junior Honor Society.
