  • In today’s society 2 Ti 4:3–4 (ESV) — 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

  • We live in a world where people want to hear good things from the word of God. They will reject God’s word when it is not to their liking and as Paul says they will turn away from the truth. People want to hear a feel-good message and they go to churches where they can hear positive and encouraging messages. Messages that tell them that they are okay. That everything will be all right.

  • Preachers that preach messages like that will gather around them large number of people because people want to hear what pleases them. Church pews can be filled with people wanting a release from the stresses of the week of troubles and trials.

    • That is a part of what church should do; help people be able to make it through. The gospel is good news for those who are willing to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ but it is also a warning to those who do not submit to Christ.

  • I will teach you feel good messages too, but I will also teach you the whole Word of God and not apologize for it even if it makes you uncomfortable because I want you to have a rich inheritance in heaven rather than a rich life here on earth.

  • Which you present Because you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior

  •

I want you to remember this world is not your home and you must continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Remember, you are to evidence salvation by the fruit you bear. If you have accepted Jesus as savior and he is indeed lord, as seen by the true fruit of the love, toward all human beings as Christ said to love, you have nothing to worry about but, be careful lest you deceive yourself, love must be sincere and pure. Ro 12:9

God gave man one man command, do not eat. The failure to keep that command banished man from Eden. Jesus gave us one commandment, “Love one another as he has loved us”

Today, I must speak to you about an inconvenient and an uncomfortable truth. I must talk to you about hell.

I must talk to you about hell because many pastors do not and you need to know the truth so you may have an urgency to put the word of God above all else! So will strive for obedience to Christ to show your love for him and secure a rich inheritance in the eternal kingdom of our Lord. That you destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. Remember, this world is not your home!

Today I’m going to talk you and get you to recognize that our God is a God of justice and his righteousness and justice and righteousness will prevail.

I will be providing you with what the Lord has given me to give to you. This is about your eternal soul. Your life beyond this earth. You are responsible for only yourself and have only yourself to blame if you end up in hell for eternity.  I will present scripture and you can believe what someone else says or what the Holy Spirit reveals to you from the scripture. Then be righteous and Judge for yourself from the word of God.

Please take notes! Please take notes! Please review the video! Please review the video! This message will affect your eternity. God will reveal more specifics to you than I ever could. Please consider carefully what I reveal to you. I will be downloading a tremendous amount of information to you in the short period of time. I will do my best to present it as best as I can. I will repeat critical issues in different ways so that you may be sure to get it. However, again,  Please take notes! Satan does not want you to hear this! He wants this information to stay hidden.

If the stream goes down, I will repost it later this afternoon. Review the video!

Those of you that can, get here Wednesday night and enter into a discussion that will help you understand what the Scripture clearly intends for you to understand.

  • Summary - four points

    • BANISHMENT FROM EDEN AND GOD’S PRESENCE REVEALS GOD DOES NOT TOLERATE DISOBEDIENCE

    • HELL IS A REAL PLACE CREATED BY GOD FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS CHILDREN.

    • JESUS WARNS HELL A REAL PLACE OF ETERNAL TERRIBLE PAIN AND SUFFERING.

    • HELL IS WHERE GOD COMPLETELY UNLEASHES HIS TERRIBLE WRATH AND ANGER ON THOSE WHO HAVE DISRESPECTED HIM.

    • Next week - The pain and suffering of hell.

  •

HELL IS A REAL PLACE CREATED BY GOD THE FATHER

Mt 25:41 (ESV) — 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

    • God created hell when he created the heavens and the earth as a place for the devil and his angels. But, hell has enlarged its mouth to take in more than just the devil and his demons.

GOD’S BANISHMENT OF MAN IN EDEN PROVES GOD DOES NOT TOLERATE DISOBEDIENCE!

Adam and Eve were banished from his presence because of disobedience to his word. This lets us know he has done it once before. This should also let us know he will do it again.

      • Eden was where His presence was and there was no pain or suffering.

        • Yet, because of man’s rebellion against the word of God, God banished man into a world where there was pain and suffering and death but with an opportunity for grace and mercy.

        • In the last day God will also banish man from Heaven to a place where there is only pain and suffering with no death or an opportunity for grace or mercy.

      • The original sin was disobeying God’s Word. God told them not to eat of a specific tree. They disrespected his word which was a direct rebellion of God himself.

        • God took that action personal. The result was banishment from his presence.

        • Today the majority of the world is aggressively disrespecting and rebelling against the word of God, God did not compromise or hesitate to exact punishment on Adam and Eve.

          • When the time comes he will not hesitate to punish those who have rebelled and disrespected him in this age.

      • I will refresh your memory to drive this point home:

Ge 2:16–17 (ESV) — 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

      • Then as a result of Adam’s disrespect of the word of God, God put him out of Eden into a cold cruel world.

Ge 3:23–24 (ESV) — 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. 24 He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.

    • Mankind has continually disrespected the word of God, and sometimes ignored God entirely. Many people still ignore God. God has allowed this because of his grace and mercy. God is long-suffering, but not forever suffering.

      • The time will come when the father says enough! He will stay his grace and his mercy and unleash his anger and his wrath.

      • God will banish men and women from his eternal presence into an eternal hell; a place prepared for the devil, his angels and his children.

      • There soul is eternal because God gave it to them and the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable. God gave man life as a living soul and he will not take the soul away but he will separate himself from those who have been disobedient to his living word.

      • In every generation, God gives every man the opportunity to choose life or death just like he gave Adam. Everyone of us has an opportunity to decide whether we want to obey God or rebel against God.

      • Every one of us has a choice of heaven or hell.

    • Sin is a violation of the word of God. It is a failure to do what God said to do. God takes sin personal. He is the one that said it and you have disrespected him by not doing what he said. That is the reason no one else can forgive sins but God.

      • God will punish people for the disrespect shown him.

      • He is an eternal God and his punishment will be eternal.

    • God will drive people out of his presence into hell because he cannot have sin in his presence. People who have chosen to ignore God and not accept the death of Jesus as the blood sacrificed for their sin will be banished eternally from God.

      • It is a choice every human being makes whether consciously or unconsciously. Their actions will reveal their choice.

        • They will either reveal their love of God by loving their brother and sister, or their indifference towards them.

Jn 13:34–35 (ESV) — 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

A commandment like don’t eat of a certain tree!

Mt 25:41 (ESV) — 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

    • Recognize hell is a place prepared for the devil and his angels/demons. Repeat that!

    • But we are also told there are others who will inhabit this place. Who are they? Those on the left.

Mt 25:31–33 (ESV) — 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left.

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

46 (ESV) — 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

      • Those who are on his left. Who are they?

        • vs32 tells us these are people of the nations who will be cursed vs41 to live eternally with the devil and his demons.

        • These are the people who did not show love to their fellow man!

        • Mt 25:42–43 (ESV) — 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’

        • Banished to a place prepared especially for the devil and his angels; not people!

        • The failure to produce the fruit of the spirit beginning with love!

      • Now quickly and briefly take note of the following Scriptures regarding the necessity to love to avoid hell.

Mt 5:22 (ESV) — 22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.

      • Notice this because of a failure to love.

Jn 13:34–35 (ESV) — 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Why the importance of love! Because God is love.

Jn 3:36 (ESV) — 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

      • Hell was not meant for people to be there.

        • It is important that you see hell was never intended for people!

        • Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels!

    • Get it in your mind now, hell is a real place prepared for the devil and his angels, but God will also send Satan’s children there. Those people who are disobedient to the word of God just like Satan and his demons are disobedient.

      • Who are Satan’s children? Those who have rejected the offer of sonship of Almighty God. They refuse to conform to the image and likeness of God son.

      • You were given the privilege to become a child of God, many of you have rejected his offer and preferred to be known as children of the world.

Jn 1:12–13 (ESV) — 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

      • There are people who have chosen not to be known as children of God by accepting Jesus as their Lord. They reject him preferring to cling to groups established by man!

        • Jn 8:44 (ESV) — 44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

        • We will discuss more about who these people are next week.

    • Today, this is a discussion to prove that our God, a God who is full of loving kindness and mercy, is also a God of fierce anger and wrath and has created hell for those who are disobedient to his word.

      • Now just as his love is eternal, his wrath is also eternal!

      • God created hell as a special for satan and his angels who have rebelled against his authority!

        • But he will let people go there who by their actions prove they want to go there!

        • Our lives are choice driven, we live or die by the choices we make.

          • We will experience eternity in heaven or hell according to the choice we make.

    • You may not believe that God could create hell and sentence people to eternal torment but…

      • People did not believe that God would destroy everybody in the world by a flood in Noah’s day; but he did.

      • The people of Sodom and Gomorrah did not believe that God would destroy their city because of their sexual preference; but he did.

      • People did not believe that Jesus would come back from the dead; but he did.

      • You may not think that God has created hell and that he will condemn people to eternal damnation; but he said he will.

        • And he is not a man that he would lie.

      • If you believe in heaven, the same one that says you can spend eternity with him in heaven also says you can also spend eternity apart from him in hell.

      • It does not matter what you think, see, hear or feel. All that matters is what God says.

        • Jesus said there is a heaven and a hell…

        • And that’s all that matters.

  •

HELL IS REAL BECAUSE JESUS SPOKE OF HELL AS A REAL PLACE. A place of eternal torment more than any other biblical voice.

    • There are over 160 references in the New Testament giving warning about hell and over 70 of these are spoken by Jesus himself.

    • Let’s look at one reference here: Lk 16:19–31 (ESV) — 19 “There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’ 27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house— 28 for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’ ”

    • Jesus also said that hell would be a terrible place:

Mt 13:49–50 (ESV) — 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    • Living in Hell with the devil and his demons is so terrible that Jesus said this:

Mk 9:43–50 (ESV) — 43 And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. 45 And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. 47 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, 48 where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’ 49 For everyone will be salted with fire. 50 Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”

      • Side note: This reminds us that the true indication of a child of God is one that loves others as Christ has loved us.

Jn 13:35 (ESV) — 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Mt 25:40 (ESV) — 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

    • Mt 7:13–14 (ESV) — 13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

      • The majority of human beings who were ever born are going to spend eternity in hell because they have chosen to disregard the word of their Creator.

      • They are under the wrath of God!

      • Those who do not have faith in Christ remain in their sins and will be subject to God’s wrath, whereas those who believe in him are delivered from God’s wrath (Eph 2:3; 1 Thes 1:10).

      • Eph 2:3 (ESV) — 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

      • 1 Th 1:10 (ESV) — 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

    • God is a God of righteousness and justice. Those who have disobeyed him will ultimately have to pay the price for their rebellion.

  •

HELL IS REAL BECAUSE THERE MUST BE A PLACE FOR PUNISHMENT OF SIN.

    • Just like there is heaven for the righteous, there must be a place for the unrighteous. There must be in place for justice to be rendered to those who have disregarded the Almighty eternal God.

      • Hell is the place for the unrighteous to pay for their sins and injustice against God and his children.

      • Hell is a place for the wrath of God to be administered on Satan, his demons and his children who also chose to rebel against God.

        • The punishment will be for eternity.

        • Like we sentence people for life at hard labor, so does God. Where did we get the idea of life imprisonment?

        • God gets vengeance for all the evil done to those he loved, and the injustices done to them throughout all the generations.

      • Hell is for all the hell satan has perpetrated on the world since it’s beginning

    • Jesus will get vengeance on those who have disrespected him.

2 Th 1:7–9 (ESV) — 7 when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels 8 in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

    • In the last days, our time, there will be great deception by the servants of Satan Mt 24:24 (ESV) — 24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

      • False prophets meaning people teaching things contrary to the word of God. Justifying all forms of abominations and wickedness in declaring what is evil good.

      • Dt 11:16–17 (ESV) — 16 Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them; 17 then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and he will shut up the heavens, so that there will be no rain, and the land will yield no fruit, and you will perish quickly off the good land that the Lord is giving you.

HELL IS REAL AND IT IS FOR THE DEVIL AND UNBELIEVERS!

Jn 3:36 (ESV) — 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

What is the wrath of God? It is Almighty God getting vengeance on the devil and everyone who has ignored his divine sovereignty.

THE WRATH OF GOD IS WHEN HE GETS VENGEANCE ON THE DEVIL AND ALL WHO HAVE IGNORED HIS DIVINE SOVEREIGNTY.

God’s Wrath is where he totally loses it! He unleashes his pent up anger on everyone that ignored him, and nobody can calm him down.

Na 1:2 (ESV) — 2 The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord is avenging and wrathful; the Lord takes vengeance on his adversaries and keeps wrath for his enemies.

    • Dt 32:22 (ESV) — 22 For a fire is kindled by my anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol, devours the earth and its increase, and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.

    • Is 66:15–16 (ESV) — 15 “For behold, the Lord will come in fire, and his chariots like the whirlwind, to render his anger in fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 16 For by fire will the Lord enter into judgment, and by his sword, with all flesh; and those slain by the Lord shall be many.

All of this will come to pass very soon!

Re 14:9–11 (ESV) — 9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

Re 20:10 (ESV) — 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Re 20:14–15 (ESV) — 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

  • Summary

    • Hell is a real place created by God the father for the devil and his children.

    • Expulsion from Eden and God’s presence reveals God does not tolerate disobedience.

    • Jesus declared hell a real place of eternal terrible pain and suffering.

    • Hell is where God completely unleashes his terrible wrath and anger on those who have disrespected him.

    • Next week - The pain and suffering of hell.
