As children of God, we are not only saved from sin but called into something far greater: glory in Christ Jesus. Scripture reveals that glorification is part of God’s eternal plan for humanity. Jesus, the Son of Man, entered into glory through His suffering, and He shares that glory with all who believe in Him (John 13:31–32; Daniel 7:13–14; John 17:22–23). To be in Christ is to share His life, His inheritance, and His glory.

Glory is both our destiny and our inheritance. Romans 8:14–18 declares that believers are heirs with Christ, destined to be glorified together with Him. Romans 8:29–30 assures us that those God foreknew and justified, He also glorified. Colossians 3:2–4 reminds us that when Christ appears, we will appear with Him in glory. Glory begins now through transformation (2 Cor 3:18), continues through endurance in trials (1 Pet 5:10; 2 Cor 4:16–18), and will be revealed fully when Christ returns (Phil 3:20–21; 1 John 3:2).

Suffering is not a contradiction to glory but often its pathway. Trials refine our faith and prepare us for an eternal weight of glory (Rom 5:2–5; 1 Pet 4:13). All of this flows from God’s love, for He desires that His children be with Him and behold His glory (John 17:24). The mystery revealed is “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col 1:27).

Thus, glory is not only future but also present — it is both promised and already working in us through the Spirit. As believers, we are created for glory, destined to reflect the holiness, faithfulness, and love of God for eternity.
