Alpha and Omega Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow The Same

Alpha and Omega

Alpha and Omega

Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

The Same

Revelation 22:13 (NKJV): 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,

the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Heb 13:8 (NKJV) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Mal 3:6 (NKJV) — 6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

As we face this new year, 2025, I want you to remember this.

The one who brought you through 2024 will bring you through 2025.

All it takes is obedience and he will be with you!

Repeat it!

“The one who brought you through 2024 will bring you through 2025.

All it takes is obedience and he will be with you!

How can we say this? Because he is Alpha and Omega, he is at the beginning of everything in your life and he is at the ending of everything in your life!

He was with you at the beginning of 2024, and he was with you at the end of 2024. Why? Because he is Alpha and Omega.

And, because He is  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, what he did last year for you he will do again for you. He will bring you through from beginning to end.

Because he is alpha and omega, he is with you now at the beginning of 2025 and will be with you at the end of 2025. Why? Because He is Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes!

He delivered you from the paw of the bear and lion in 2024, and he will deliver you from giants of troubles in 2025. Why? Because He never changes! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Because he is alpha and omega, he was with you in the beginning when you were born, and he will be with you in the end when you die. Why? Because He never changes! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The Alpha and the Omega

Why will you fret because of tomorrow when he will still be with you tomorrow as he is today? Why will he still be with you? Because he never changes! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

If you have any doubts, he has also told you he is Emanuel. So, from the beginning to the end, he is with you.

From January 2024 to December 2024, he was with you, and he changes not; it is certain that from January 2025 to December 2025, beginning to end, alpha and omega, he will be with you to the end.

This is one important point I want you to keep in mind. He has promised to be with you and never leave you, and of this you can be confident. He is with you from the beginning to the end.

The real concern is, he may be with you but you may not be with him!

Now, I’m about to tell you how to be sure he is always with you and you all with him!

Jacob’s Story

Three Verses of Scripture

Genesis 31:3, 32:1-3

Genesis 31:1–3 (NKJV):  Now Jacob heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, “Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what was our father’s he has acquired all this wealth.” And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban, and indeed it was not favorable toward him as before.

Genesis 31:3

Then the Lord said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you.”

Notice two things. One an offer and a promise:

1) return to the land. Do as I say. 2) I will be with you.”

In other words, do as I say. Be obedient, and I will be with you.

Although God will always be with you, you may not always be with him. Only obedience assures you are with him!

He says it many times in Scripture:

Is 1:19 (NKJV) — 19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;

Jacob was not where God wanted him to be.  He was away from the land where the blessings were to flow. Remember when he left?

Ge 28:10–22 (NKJV) — 10 Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. 11 So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.

12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. 14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. 15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” 17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”

God’s presence was with him when he was in the place God wanted him to be, but he went away from it.

God always works things out together for the good of those who are called according to his purpose.

18 Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. 19 And he called the name of that place Bethel;

but the name of that city had been Luz previously.  its original name, signifies "separation," while Bethel, its new name, means "the house of God."

20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, 21 so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God. 22 And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”

There is no mention of any "altar," no reference to prayer, nothing to distinguish him from anyone else in the land where he was.

It must be remembered that the "altar" speaks of communion with God. He had no altar in this land, meaning he was out of communion with God.

Some people are out of communion with God today because they do not have an altar!

Listen, you may get busy and forget about God, but God does not forget about you!

Adam and Eve hid from God, but God went looking for them and found them. He will look for his lost sheep!

Obedience to God assures the presence of God will be with you.

Sin separates you from him.

Here is a list of occasions where God comforted individuals He called to serve or complete a mission by assuring them with the promise, “I will be with you”:

God told  Isaac, “Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands.” (Genesis 26:3, NKJV)

God told Moses to go to the pharaoh. And he said, ‘I will certainly be with you.”  (Exodus 3:12, NKJV)

God told Joshua to lead the people: and he said, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Joshua 1:5, NKJV)

God told Gideon to Deliver Israel, and he said: ‘Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.’” (Judges 6:16, NKJV)

God told Jeremiah to Be a Prophet, and he said, “Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. (Jeremiah 1:8, NKJV)

God told Paul to preach and he said, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.” (Acts 18:9-10, NKJV)

Jesus told you and me, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations… and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20, NKJV)

God consistently reassures those who are obedient to him with the promise of His presence.

Obedience secures God’s presence!

Disobedience separates you from God!

II

Jacob Returns Home

Now, think. If the president came here, who would also come with him? Would he come alone? No, the Secret Service and a host of other protection would be with him. Where might they be guarding him?

What did God tell Jacob to do and what was his promise?

Genesis 31:3  Then the Lord said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you.”

Remember, and the offer and a promise. If he would return God said he would be with him.

Now, to the next chapter and tto see what he did.

Genesis 32:1–2 (NKJV): 32 So Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. When Jacob saw them, he said, “This is God’s camp.” And he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

When you are obedient to what God has called you to do, God’s angels meet you to protect you on the path to spiritual righteousness.

Because you are walking in obedience, you will have trouble, but you will not be harmed.  Why? The angels will be with you!

Notice what he says. This is God’s camp.” And he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

This is God’s camp.” The word camp in Hebrew means “host,” meaning army.

When you walk in obedience, the army of God is there. Why? Because God knows the world will hate you and cause you much trouble because you are obeying him.

Can I get a witness?

Here is what Jesus said would happen if you followed him. Even now in 2025

John 15:19 (NKJV):

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

John 15:18 (NKJV): 18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.

While on the path of obedience, we must expect to encounter situations that will test our faith; it must happen! There is no way around this!

Though the world may frown on you, God’s smile on you is more than enough!

2025 will bring  trouble, but fear not.

Jesus tells us, "I have overcome the world; therefore, let not your hearts be troubled." He even tells us that in the last days, men's hearts will fail them because of what they see happening around them.

Luke 21:25–28 (NKJV):

25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

When you are obedient to what God has called you to, God’s angels will go with you.

And he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

Mahanaim means “double camp,” divided into two companies, probably with him,

in front and behind.

Think of this: in front and behind.

What does this remind us of?

Alpha and Omega!

When we walk in obedience as God has directed, there will be angels behind us and angels in front of us because God is with us!

Isaiah 52:12 (NKJV): 12 For you shall not go out with haste, Nor go by flight; For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Get it in your hearts!

In 2025, God is your Alpha and Omega,  your beginning and your end. Your start and your finish. From  January to December.

He is with you through it all, and no harm shall befall you!

Now be confident that in 2025 you can be with God and he will be with you, all you got to do is what he told Joshua

Jos 1:7–9 (NKJV) — 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Now, again remember this.

“The one who brought you through 2024 will bring you through 2025.

Just be obedient and he will be with you!
