2 Keys to Unlocking

 God’s Favor in YOUR Life

Lamentations 3:21–24 (NKJV): This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.

22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

La 3:25 (NKJV) — 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. 26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord.

The two keys to unlocking God’s favor in your life are found in verse 25

La 3:25 (NKJV) — 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.

  • Wait for the Lord

  • Seek the Lord.

SAY IT!!

Verse 21 tells us what we have to do regarding the following five verses.

These verses are verses to give you hope and confidence regardless of what you may see with your eyes or what you may be going through.

    • La 3:25 (NKJV) — 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.

      • How are we to seek the Lord? Principally three ways code

        • We seek him in prayer and meditation

        • We seek him in his word

        • We seek him in His church

      • We seek him in prayer and meditation

        • Call unto me and I will tell you

      • We seek him in his word

        • The scriptures tell of him. We must search the Scriptures to find him.

      • We seek him in His church. The church is the pillar of truth in the world. It is where he has promised to do great things!

        • Two or more gathered in my name, the presence of the Lord is there and whatever you agree on, will be done by Christ

        • Mt 18:19–20 (NKJV) — 19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

        •

There is power in the church with others that is not in the home when one is alone

        • There I am in the midst of them.

          • how can you gather on one accord unless you are gathered.

          • Prayer is more effective in the church when believers are gathered together.

        • Instances of the power of the church.

          • After Peter and John were arrested for preaching about Jesus, the believers gathered together and prayed for boldness to continue sharing the Gospel. The place where they were gathered shook, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 4:23-31

          • While Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Philippi, they prayed and sang hymns. A great earthquake shook the prison, the doors were opened, and their chains were loosed, leading to the conversion of the jailer and his household. Acts 16:25-34

          • When King Herod arrested Peter, the church gathered and prayed fervently for his release. God sent an angel to free Peter from prison, and he went to the house where they were praying. Acts 12:5-17

          • After the death of Dorcas (also known as Tabitha), the believers in Joppa sent for Peter. He prayed and, through God’s power, Dorcas was raised from the dead. Acts 9:36-43

          • Cornelius, a centurion, and Peter had a church service and as Peter preached the Holy Spirit came upon Gentiles for the first time. Acts 10:44-46

        • This is where the majority of Christians miss seeking God.

          • They don’t come to church because of various attitudes and reasons. Now, you name some of the reasons?

          • You have been commanded to come to church, regardless of the reasons! Hebrews 10:25

            • Forsake, not the fellowship!

        • On the day of Pentecost, if you have not been there, you would not have receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit

        • Thomas, missed church the first Sunday and miss seeing Jesus.

          • How many of you are missing God because you were watching online?

        • Those who stay at home and can attend concerts, baseball games, birthday parties, high school reunions, business meetings and disregard what Jesus gave his life for will have to give an account to God for their disrespect to his church
