“Unbreakable Promises To Keep You Together” pt. 3

2026 is fast approaching.

We have no idea what’s in store for us… but the Lord not only knows

but has a plan and promises for us!

He can’t break his word.

So as long as we do what we’re supposed to… that promise is ours!

What are the promises?

 

Our God Is A Promise Keeper!

What has he promised us?

We can trust the promises from the Lord.

Hebrews 10:23

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is  faithful.

The God who can see 2027 just like he can see 2026… he has given us promises to give us comfort

in a future we can’t see yet!

 

You Don’t Have To Know The Future If You Know His Promises!

We can learn to trust our will.

or we can learn to trust his.

Hebrews 10:23 (MSG)

Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his  word.

 

The Bible Is Full Of Promises For God’s People!

This is the thing we sometimes miss.

It’s always great to have a promise from the Lord to stand on. This is a great thing to ask your family and friends.

Do You Have A Promise You’re Standing On?

These promises will help you in times of distress and worry. These promises will help you in times of loneliness and confusion.

and today we’ll continue our study on this. because whatever is in store for us…

you better believe it’s one of his promises!

So far we’ve talked about how God’s promises cover:

 

Protection - covering us in the face of present and future danger

Provision - knowing and meeting our needs

Presence - how he will never leave us nor forsake us.

Prevailing - how he will keep defeating the enemy over and over

But there are PLENTY of more! Let’s go to the next one.

Unbreakable Promise #5

- He Will Help Me Know Which Ways To And NOT To Go!

One of the things we wish we could do is stay out of trouble next year right? How many of you know the Lord doesn’t make you “figure life out?”

He has a plan and purpose for you… but he will ALSO lead you to it!

How does the Lord lead?

through his Spirit and his Word.

Back in October we talked about how the Word is a map for us.

Psalm 119:105

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

A lamp to our feet.

it shows us where we’re standing.

The word shows us how holy and righteous we really are.

it helps us to get ourselves together. It establishes a starting point to get to a direction.

But it doesn’t just give you a pinpoint of where you are.

It is a light for my path…

it lights up your path.

it shows you the direction to go. But this is because our God is a guide for us.

Psalm 32:8

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

This is saying that we have a God who will guide us in the way we should move.

 

We Don’t Have To Guess The Next Steps! We Just Need To Ask Him To Show Us The Way!

Isaiah 58:11 (a)

The Lord will guide you always…

But the problem isn’t always finding out the next step… it’s actually wanting the Lords help…

and not him having to MAKE you do something.

If we look at the next part of Psalm 32: (He will show us where to go)…

Psalm 32:9

9 Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.

Some of us know the right way to go…

but we refuse to follow the Lord’s lead.

We do that so often…

but for those who ARE willing to follow. What the Lord is taking you to…

Is for you!

and NO ONE can do anything about it!

Revelation 3:7-8

“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and  what he shuts no one can open.

When the Lord has something in store for you…no one can cancel it!

 

Seek His Lead! What He Has Planned For You Is For You!

That’s the promise!

It’s unbreakable!

You don’t have to guess the next steps…

you just have to make sure you seek and can hear the voice of the Lord!

Now for the next one.

 

Unbreakable Promise #6

- He Can Deliver Me From All Anxiety And Stress!

We talk about this one a lot.

because it something that can become major problems in our lives.

We don’t always try to deal with this because we don’t know how. or we don’t realize that these things can take us out.

Stress and anxiety can lead to dangerous cycles if not managed. they can lead to panic attacks…

high blood pressure…which increases risk of stokes. it can also lead to death if not managed.

This is why the bible tells us in multiple places to not worry…. but give it to the Lord.

Psalm 55:22 (NKJV)

22 Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

Cast your burden on the Lord… why?

because he is already working on it.

He knows the things that you’re concerned about.

but he’s already given his word to comfort you.

He will never let the righteous to be moved… he won’t let us be shaken.

we’re trusting him.

and he is covering us!

But it’s not just casting our cares on him.

1 Peter 5:7 (AMP)

7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your  concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

This says releasing the FULL weight of it….

 

How Many Times Do We Say We’ll Trust God and End Up Worrying Still?

This is something we all do occasionally.

If things aren’t solved immediately…

we tend to think the Lord isn’t helping us.

we tend to think the Lord isn’t working on our behalf.

But the rest of the scripture says that He CARES for you!

He doesn’t just care for us affectionately…he cares watchfully. Last week we talked about his love.

He loved the word so much he sent his son to die for us.

Jesus didn’t come all the way to earth to die on the cross for us…

so that we can sit and worry all day how our circumstances will work out.

This is a promise we can all benefit from… so let’s do this:

Unbreakable Promise #7

- Even When We Get Tired He Will Strengthen Us!

We’ve talked about this before.

one human characteristic is being tired. we get tired…

we work all day and sleep… sometimes wake up tired… to do it all over again…

We also get tired in other ways.

we get tired of always doing the right thing.

we get tired of always having to turn the other cheek we get tired of being looked over

we get tired of living the right ways… because we know it can get difficult.

but the bible tells us….

PROMISES us that when we’re weak… we’re actually GAINING strength!

Isaiah 40:29

29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

so being weary and weak aren’t exactly a bad thing.

because those who ARE weak and weary receive power.

and that power comes from the Lord!

it’s not your own strength you have to rely on. it’s his!

many times we’ve grown tired of praying for the same things over and over. we get tired of praying for a healing.

praying for a job or something specific

praying for old relationships/new relationships… But it’s when we get tired that he gives us strength!

Isaiah 40:30

30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

This is saying that everyone gets tired.

but there is a power that YOU have that others don’t! YOU will have your strength renewed from God!

This is what gives you the power to continue being righteous. this is what gives you the power to go when others can’t.

Paul talked about this in Corinthians.

He was praying for something over and over.

2 Corinthians 12:7-8

7 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.

Paul wasn’t just praying for it…he was pleading.

That could be one day of prayer…

or it could be weeks of fasting and praying.

But what happened?

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in

weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

His power is made perfect in weakness.

This is why you can reap a harvest in 2026 if you don’t stop. The natural thing would be to give up.

the natural thing would be to crash out.

the natural thing would be to flip tables and let everyone know you’re sick of it.!

But the bible answers this in Galataians.

Galatians 6:9

9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Why will you reap a harvest?

Because the Lord will HELP YOU DO IT!

We can’t see into the future.

But we have a book of promises from our Lord. These are the things we hold onto.

Because of THESE promises… we can’t see the future…

but if we trust and believe in these… 2026 is going to be looking pretty good!
