No home/temple is secure without the word. The word is our bible.
It is a book of collections.
which ALL of it is important.
Why Is The Bible Important?
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
ALL scripture…
Your bible
given by inspiration from God “God breathed” {NIV}
Many people want to doubt our faith… “The bible was written by a man.”
Well what book wasn’t written by a man or a woman?
Actually what happens is when someone writes a book, they have to mentally challenge themselves…
or stimulate themselves as an author to write something
for the reader.
If We Want To Know The Lord Better, We Find Him In The Word!
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
For the word of God is living and active… it is LIVING.
These are the words of the Lord…
and they are powerful.

Psalm 95:3
3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
The Lord is THE great God.
he stands alone in greatness.
and even THAT word can’t describe him.
Psalm 145:3
3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
God’s power is beyond understanding.
Ephesians 3:20
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
immeasurably more…than we can imagine. Things we couldn’t perceive of.
Our Bible Tells Us Nothing Is Impossible For Our God
Luke 1:37
37 For nothing is impossible with God.”
This is the word telling us.
because even today we don’t understand.
Think of all the miracles he’s done.
The Universe didn’t exist - until it did.
No one had ever seen God’s power in the plagues of Egypt - until they did.
No one had ever seen a sea open up and part for God’s people - until they did. No one had ever seen three men go into a fire and be protected - until they did. No one could spend the night with some starving lions - until they did.
One man never fed 5,000 from 2 fish and 5 loaves - until HE did. No one ever calmed the storm with his voice - until HE did.
No one ever DIED and came back 3 days later LIKE HE SAID - until HE did. This is ALL by the power of our God.
We have YET to see what he can do for us!
Our God is A Master Of Surpassing Our Expectations!
What do you think he can’t do for you? What do you think is too impossible?
Why should you study the bible?
because it tells you to set the bar high… and even then…God can do it.
Psalm 8:3-4(a)
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
When I THINK about the sky. all that I can see.
all that I can’t see!
We are part of one galaxy.
When you look up at the sky…
there’s always something to see… if you know where to look.
He created ALL of it.
and when we read Psalms that says… “The heavens declare the glory of God.”
We have to ask the question…
When You Stop And TRY And Think Of How Big The Lord Is - It’s Awe Inspiring
As we said before…
created the universe with words. and THAT word.
is living and active.
And THAT God was asked by Moses… who are you?
The Lord simply responds with. “I Am that I Am”
The More We Read And Study…The More We Marvel At The Great “I AM”
Can’t leave this out when talking about the Lord’s greatness…
Philippians 2:10-11
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Our bible says that there is a name… above all names…
God over God’s
Lord above Lords
and there will come a time:
Where that GREAT name will be said… and EVERY knee…
every knee in heaven on earth
and UNDER the earth.
Will stop what they’re doing… and have to declare.
That Jesus Christ is the Lord of all.
You can’t do that without being great!

Proverbs 4:20-22
20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. 21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;
We have to make sure we understand that these words are his inspired words.
Don’t let them out of your sight. KEEP THEM AROUND!
Get them in your heart!
Know those words better than you know other stuff.
Know it more than your favorite song.
Know it more than your favorite show/movie.
Verse 22
22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.
These words are life.
Those who know them find life. they find health.
The bible itself can work wonders for you
because it points you in the right direction to find what you need.
This word POINTS to the Lord.
Isaiah 26:3
3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
When you’re having a rough day. get in the word.
You’ll see not only scriptures of encouragement:
but you’ll see stories of those who WERE going through.
and how the Lord delivered them from their problems.
Psalm 18:2-3
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
The word tells us when the Lord is your rock… you can take refuge in him.
You can call on the Lord…
and take comfort knowing he will protect you.
Psalm 34:19-20
19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; 20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
The Word Will Help You Conquer Your Troubles!
The word also tells you how you can find renewal.
Proverbs 3:7-8
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Our word tells us that the fear of the Lord… and turning away from evil…
Brings health to our body.
and nourishment to our bones.

The bible has the ability to set us free.
John 8:31(b)-32 (NKJV)
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
If we abide in HIS word.
if we take HIS word seriously.
We will know truth…
and when we know the truth.
We are set free!
There Is Freedom In The Word!
Freedom from what?
We Have Freedom From Our Past
2 Corinthians 3:17
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
It is living and active.
It is a window to the Lord’s heart.
You might have been a whole fool last week.
Romans 8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
Sinful people could NOT be joined with a Sin-LESS God! But through your relationship with Christ.
You are made free!
You might not feel that way. Sometimes you might feel unworthy.
You might even have been acting a fool LAST NIGHT. but TODAY you are reading his word.
TODAY you are in the presence of the Lord. and THERE is freedom!
We Have Freedom From Our Sins
No one is perfect…
we ALL mess up.
However
These things we do… we do NOT have to.
Because we have the power within us to NOT do it.
Romans 6:6-7
6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.
This is saying that through Christ… we serve him.
WithOUT him…
we serve the sinful nature.
You can be free from that sin.
You can be free from the guilt and shame of still doing it.
2 Corinthians 5:21
21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
We played trade with Christ.
He took on our sin…
and he died.
and WE took on his righteousness.
John 3:16-19
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
Jesus wasn’t sent to condemn us… He was sent to give us freedom.

Some of us have to start over.
We have to go back to the beginning. The bible is a tool of truth.
It is NECESSARY to our growth as believers.
